P&G Product Recall
Proctor and Gamble has issued a recall on 8.2 million bags of Tide, Gain, Ace and Ariel laundry detergent! These products are packaged in flexible film bags. The packaging, which is meant to prevent access to the contents, is defective and can split open near the zipper track allowing access and/or injury to children and other vulnerable populations. This could also result in skin or eye injuries. Below are the Tide and Gain products included in this recall. These products were produced between September 2023 and February 2024. You can confirm you have a recalled product by checking the lot code on the bottom of the package. That list can be found through THIS LINK.

First, since it is not possible to close the product, P&G recommends transferring the product to a Tide PODS or Gain Flings tub with a Child Resistant Closure. If you do not have a Child Resistant Container, you may request one from their Consumer Care Team. Please store the product up, closed and safe – away from children. Then, for your inconvenience and because the quality of their product is important to P&G, their team will provide you with a prepaid debit card for the value of your purchase price as well as a replacement bag and cabinet latch to keep your laundry products secure. You will need to provide the product bar code and a photo of the lot code. (There does seem to be a limit of 3 products per claim so I did multiple claims using mine and my husband’s names. -Lori)
